waya bags co
With this piece we wanted to reach a next level for the traditional wayuu bag. We rescued a rare technique the wayuu ancestors used to make. And we named it Enramada, for its original thread made in silk which represent the branches that surround the artisans rancherias (where they live). Can be used many ways: as a crossbody bag, short hang in one shoulder, as a petit purse hang, and a clutch. Its hand weaved in silk thread, velvet lining, intervened with gold plated pieces and natural tagua seeds.
Completely thread by indigenous wayuu woman in La Guajira, Colombia in approximately 30 days.
